Position Overview
As an Offset Printing Press Technician, you will play a vital role in a dynamic organization focused on quality and efficiency in printing operations.

Key Responsibilities
The primary function of the printing press technician is to oversee the production process of the printing press, ensuring adherence to job specifications.

  • Supervise and guide the press crew, managing the press speed to achieve an optimal balance between production output and quality standards.
  • Set up and operate the printing press to produce multicolor prints based on provided proofs, ensuring that quality sheets are produced to meet customer expectations.
  • Accurately enter job completion details into the operational management system.
  • Plan upcoming jobs to ensure all necessary materials are prepared in advance.
  • Review job orders to ascertain printing quantities, stock specifications, and any special instructions.
  • Complete all required documentation related to job specifications, including load tags and data analysis.
  • Monitor the feeding and printing processes to maintain operational levels and identify any malfunctions.
  • Communicate daily tasks effectively to the feeder operator and assist in maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as greasing and lubricating the press according to manufacturing specifications.
  • Ensure a smooth transition during shift changes by preparing the press for the next operator.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must:

  • Pass the Ishihara color vision test.
  • Successfully complete a drug and background screening.
  • Have prior experience operating printing presses, with a preference for those familiar with Komori systems.
  • Be capable of lifting an average of 50 lbs.
