Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Histotechnologist to join our team at St. Luke's University Health Network. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various laboratory and histology procedures for the Anatomic Pathology Department.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working 3 pm to 11:30 pm. As a Histotechnologist, you will be responsible for maintaining competencies in all histology laboratory related skills and adhering to laboratory safety policies, procedures, and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate compliance with laboratory safety policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all materials handled.
  • Operate LIS software, computer programs, and equipment effectively.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshoot malfunctions on equipment and instrumentation.
  • Record and monitor quality control and quality assurance documentation.
  • Review and understand standard operating procedures and complete continued education activities.
Requirements
  • AAS or BS degree in a relevant field; HT or HTL ASCP certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in anatomic pathology is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $62,000 per year, based on the location in Bethlehem, PA. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.
