Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technician to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Polysomnographic Technician, you will be responsible for conducting nocturnal polysomnograms, initiating nasal CPAP, and scoring all types of tests performed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather materials and set up equipment for tests
  • Discuss test procedures with patients and answer questions
  • Instruct patients on PAP therapy
  • Prepare patients for tests by applying electrodes and ancillary equipment
  • Calibrate machines and monitor patients during testing
  • Adjust and troubleshoot equipment as needed
  • Score polygraphic records and summarize findings for physician review
  • Clean equipment and maintain stock levels
  • Collect urine samples for laboratory analysis
  • Assist in training new personnel and scoring training
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Twelve to eighteen months of related experience preferred
  • Board certification from the BRPT or ABSM
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and physicians
  • Analytical skills to observe and evaluate patients during testing
  • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to walk and stand for approximately 25% of work time and to lift, pull, push, and carry portable equipment for approximately 25% of work time.
