Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist gastroenterologists and providers with diagnostic and minor medical procedures, such as biopsies and abdominal pressure applications.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
  • Ensure patient safety by verifying medications, procedures, and infection prevention protocols.
  • Support patient flow and provide assistance as needed.
  • Maintain stock levels and report safety hazards, accidents, and incidents promptly.
  • Assist in orienting and training new employees and transporting equipment or patients.
Requirements:

  • Minimum six (6) months of experience as an Endoscopy or Gastrointestinal Technician.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
  • Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution - Technician Certification within six months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Gastrointestinal Certification preferred.
