Key Responsibilities:
- Assist gastroenterologists and providers with diagnostic and minor medical procedures, such as biopsies and abdominal pressure applications.
- Prepare and maintain equipment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
- Ensure patient safety by verifying medications, procedures, and infection prevention protocols.
- Support patient flow and provide assistance as needed.
- Maintain stock levels and report safety hazards, accidents, and incidents promptly.
- Assist in orienting and training new employees and transporting equipment or patients.
- Minimum six (6) months of experience as an Endoscopy or Gastrointestinal Technician.
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
- Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution - Technician Certification within six months of hire.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Gastrointestinal Certification preferred.
