Emergency Room Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team at Summerville Medical Center. As a key member of our emergency department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, triaging patients, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assess and treat patients of all ages presenting for emergency care, utilizing your critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions.
- Document patient information, including vital signs, medical history, and treatment plans, to ensure accurate and timely communication with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, while maintaining a focus on patient safety and well-being.
- Respond to incoming telephone calls and triage patients as needed, utilizing your expertise to provide guidance and support to patients and families.
- Collaborate with our trauma team to provide care for critically injured patients, utilizing your knowledge of emergency medicine and trauma care to make informed decisions.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest emergency medicine protocols and procedures.
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, with a current RN license in the state of South Carolina or a compact state.
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required.
- Previous emergency or critical care experience is preferred, but not required.
