Position Overview

The Enterprise Solutions Engineer is a proficient backend engineer specializing in Python, SQL, and AWS, dedicated to assisting BriteCore's Insurance Policy Administration clients in overcoming their most intricate challenges. This position is well-suited for individuals who have cultivated strong customer relationships, possess extensive enterprise engineering experience, and are enthusiastic about embracing modern technology. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute highly scalable and dependable B2B enterprise integrations.
  • Collaborate with clients and Product Management to develop enhancements, articulate epics/stories, and bring them to fruition through coding.
  • Develop reporting solutions within a regulated environment, ensuring compliance and reliability.
  • Provide exceptional support to our large-scale clients, ensuring their success.
  • Enhance your understanding of mutual P&C insurance best practices and workflows.
  • Engage in hands-on coding, addressing complex issues alongside our engineering team.
  • Participate in regular discussions with executive engineering teams at our key clients.
  • Deliver enterprise-level support to BriteCore customers, assisting with customizations to our platform.
  • Collaborate with customer development leaders to optimize our Python monolith, supporting their innovations and growth.
  • Streamline and upgrade our legacy data delivery and reporting solutions, utilizing SQL and Quicksite datasets.
  • Work with DevOps to implement effective DataDog monitoring for uptime and scalability, ensuring optimal performance.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Python coding within an enterprise SaaS environment.
  • 5+ years of experience with large-scale B2B integrations.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with RIA technologies and patterns, including Vue and jQuery.
  • Proficient and comfortable working in a Linux operating environment, including application debugging, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated expertise in MySQL or similar SQL databases, skilled in optimizing databases and queries, enhancing application performance, and designing cloud-native applications for seamless delivery.
  • Mastery of AWS technologies, including EC2, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3 for file and vendor integrations, and CloudWatch for query writing, with proficiency in architecting workflows using Step Functions.
  • Experience utilizing DataDog for application optimization and issue identification.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment, with a willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a startup environment.
  • 1+ year of experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) sector.
  • Familiarity with Jinja code and code templates.
