Clinical Research Nurse

Georgetown University's Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Nurse I to join our team. As a key member of our clinical trials office, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing clinical trials throughout the trial lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage clinical trials, including recruitment and selection of study participants, data collection, and informed consent.
- Collaborate with investigators, study team members, and external stakeholders to ensure trial integrity and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Interface with study participants, obtain informed consent, and document all study-related activity.
- Coordinate study-related procedures and assessments, ensuring patient safety and protocol integrity.
- Provide clinical and administrative nursing support to Clinical Research Coordinators and Clinical Research Nurses.
- Ensure site compliance with research protocols, reviewing regulatory requirements and implementing appropriate methods and procedures.
- Coordinate collection of research specimens, provide patient education, and schedule in-service training for staff.
- Regularly update the Clinical Trials Management System (CTMS) with patient information and key dates.
- Collaborate with Data Coordinators to ensure accurate documentation and query resolution.
- Document and report serious adverse events, and act as a liaison with hospital staff, physicians, IRB, review committees, and auditors.
- Bachelor's degree, BLS certification, and RN license in the District of Columbia.
- Three to five years of nursing experience in a hospital, clinic, or similar healthcare setting.
- Up to two years of clinical research experience.
- Strong candidates exhibit knowledge of clinical research, research processes, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
This position has been designated as On-Campus. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed to meet the evolving needs of the University.
Pay RangeThe projected salary or hourly pay range for this position is $66,720.23.
