Our Care TeamOur Certified Medication Aides (CMAs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) play a vital role in serving our patients. Their responsibilities include:
- Administering prescribed medications under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN)/(LVN), and maintaining related medical records.
- Presenting medication to patients and observing ingestion or administering medication using specified procedures.
- Taking vital signs or observing patients to detect response to medication, and reporting reactions.
- Restocking medication inventories.
- Providing direct patient care and ensuring resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergency situations, and initiating corrective action as appropriate.
