Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Michael Foods Inc. in Chaska, Minnesota. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime
  • Interface with production supervisors, leads, and operators to gather information on equipment performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Coordinate repairs, labor, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance
  • Schedule union and non-union labor for routine and overtime work
  • Approve vacation and PPT requests
  • Provide reviews of direct staff and identify areas for development
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in maintenance reliability and CI projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance management experience
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles preferred
  • Knowledge of basic mechanics, welding, electrical, fabrication, preventative maintenance, plant operations, government environmental and safety regulations
  • Refrigerated foods processing and packaging knowledge
  • Food safety and sanitation principles (GMP, SQF) knowledge
  • State and Federal rules and regulations (USDA, FDA, OSHA, etc.) knowledge
  • Leadership and team skills, including interpersonal relations and communication
