Responsibilities- Efficiently repair and maintain diesel engine industrial trucks, adhering to dealership and factory specifications.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical problems.
- Document all recommended additional repairs and work with the Shop Foreman on preparing quotes for customers.
- Communicate with the Shop Foreman, Shop Lead, and/or Shop Manager on any unusual service problems encountered or for any technical assistance needed.
- Attend service training classes to maintain knowledge on new products or for refreshers on products not encountered frequently.
- Complete and submit all paperwork daily for jobs worked on (time cards, maintenance reports, etc.).
- Communicate with the Shop Foreman regarding the status of assigned jobs.
- Offer assistance to other shop techs, as appropriate.
- Keep the shop clean and organized, promptly cleaning up spills (oil, etc.).
- Always adhere to safety rules and policies.
- 3-5 years of experience as a heavy equipment technician.
- Mechanical experience, preferably on forklifts, construction equipment, or farm equipment.
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical problems.
- Basic computer skills and laptop fundamentals.
- Must have own tools.
$25-$36/hr (based on experience) + Benefits
