We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist located in our Gilbert, Arizona office. This role will provide Quality Assurance consultation and guidance to program and/or software deployment team leadership to identify risks, tailor process requirements, and share best practices.

About the Role

This position involves leading mission/quality assurance assessments of process/project quality, supplier quality, and escalating critical or recurring issues to appropriate levels of management. The selected individual must be self-starters with experience in risk management, root cause analysis/corrective action, and process mapping/process building.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with AS9100, AS9145, continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Agile. They will be strongly self-directed and result-driven, accustomed to working autonomously and with teams.

Responsibilities

  • Understand company policy, standards, or processes and apply them to quality/compliance reviews, recognizing when requirements are not being met and challenging upward when necessary.
  • Audit systems for deficiency identification and correction, ensuring effective and timely corrective measures.
  • Partner with project/program leadership to foster effective teaming and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate problem resolution, root cause analysis, and operational efficiencies using best practices/lessons learned.
  • Assist with supplier quality, service management, and escalate critical and/or recurring issues to appropriate levels of management.
  • Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
  • Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
  • Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction, ensuring that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and documentation is compliant with requirements.
  • May specialize in design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, and reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
  • May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related STEM field
  • 2+ years (level 2) or 5+ years (level 3) of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
  • Able to read engineering documentation and inspect to drawings and parts lists, inspection plans, and supplemental instructions
  • Solid knowledge base in electrical or mechanical field of expertise
  • Minimum 2 years experience in either Electrical or Mechanical / Electro-mechanical field of work performing Engineering job function
  • Fluent in use of Microsoft applications and ability to quickly learn new computer programs/applications.
  • Excellent technical writing skills is mandatory.

About the Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $68,000 - $92,000 (Level 2) and $84,000 - $116,000 (Level 3), depending on experience and qualifications. Our employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives.
