About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Powell Industries. As a key member of our facilities maintenance group, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of various systems and equipment within our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot issues with mechanical and electrical systems
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment and coordinate with external contractors as needed
  • Manage inventory of supplies and equipment needed for maintenance tasks
  • Operate heavy machinery and perform basic weld, fabrication, drywall, painting, plumbing, conduit, and HVAC repairs
Requirements
  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma
  • 2-4 years' experience in a facilities maintenance group
  • Ability to use shop equipment and perform new electrical installation for industrial equipment
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work safely in an industrial environment
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a temperature-controlled warehouse and manufacturing plant, with occasional exposure to hot and cold weather conditions.

Physical Requirements
  • Maintaining body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling
  • Bending, lifting, and standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to bend and lift heavy materials up to 50 pounds
