Job Summary

Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Specialist

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and administer a program of grounds and plant maintenance, including growing schedules and continued propagation through plants and cuttings.
  • Perform a variety of tasks related to the care of grasses and plants, including trimming, pruning, and removing scrubs, bushes, and trees.
  • Conduct general janitorial duties, including property inspections, landscaping, and grounds maintenance.
  • Provide quality customer service to customers by providing one-on-one attention to detail.
  • Inspect common areas and report deficiencies to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Inspect the exterior of the property and grounds, reporting deficiencies to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Mow lawns weekly during the proper season and clean landscaping tools and equipment after each use.
  • Trim bushes to maintain a neat appearance and desired shape.
  • Weed flowerbeds weekly or more often if needed.
  • Shovel exterior walkways during wintery weather and salt or sand icy walkways as needed.
  • Contribute to the team, facilitate good customer interactions, and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others with whom there is contact.
Requirements
  • Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license required.
