Job Title: Lead Software Engineer

At JPMorgan Chase, we're seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to join our Cloud Services team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in fostering a cloud-centric mindset and integrating cloud practices into our daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure for new features, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Collaborate with the Product team to create technical design specs for multi-region deployments.
  • Work on clustering strategies for NoSQL databases and implement the latest features through rolling upgrades.
  • Create testing platforms for Infrastructure code to ensure high availability.
  • Ensure security is a top priority, maintaining compliance with PCI and other regulatory requirements.
  • Develop libraries and plugins for open-source products and tools using Python, C#, Java, and other languages.
  • Evaluate the latest technology releases to ensure our Product is always at the forefront.
  • Coach and mentor team members to improve cloud practices and maturity.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering concepts and formal training or certification.
  • At least 4 years of experience as a DevOps/Cloud Engineer.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services, including compute, storage, databases, network, application integration, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Infrastructure as Code experience, with a strong understanding of CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Experience with containers and orchestration using Kubernetes.
  • Strong knowledge of Network Security, Security Architecture, and Secured SDLC practices.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases, such as Cassandra, Aerospike, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Couchbase.
  • Central Logging and monitoring using ELK, Grafana, and Prometheus.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bamboo, or Circle CI.
  • Proficiency in two or more scripting languages, such as Python, Shell, or Ruby.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS certifications, Kubernetes certification, or similar.
  • Relevant experience in a product organization.
  • AWS security services, such as Guard Duty, Inspector, Cognito, WAF, and Shield.
  • Experience with infrastructure design and implementation of serverless applications.
  • Proficiency in Shell, PowerShell, and Bash scripts for default libraries of OS.
