ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are in search of a proactive Project Engineer eager to thrive in a dynamic work setting.


As a vital member of the diverse Lockheed Martin Engineering & Technical Solutions team, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of tailored aircraft component repair and overhaul solutions.


Your responsibilities will include interpreting technical engineering data and devising solutions to facilitate activities such as tool and fixture design and the creation of component overhaul training programs.

This position necessitates on-site work at our designated facility. Travel, both domestic and international, will be part of your responsibilities.

You will oversee the planning, organization, control, integration, and successful completion of engineering projects within your assigned scope.

Responsibilities include formulating engineering programs, reviewing product designs for adherence to engineering principles, company standards, customer contract stipulations, and relevant specifications.

You will evaluate and authorize design modifications, as well as manage technical developments, scheduling, and resolution of engineering design and testing challenges.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Proficiency in Inventor and/or other 3D modeling software
  • Advanced skills in MS Office suite, particularly MS Access and MS Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Self-motivated, capable of managing multiple projects from inception to completion while collaborating with customer repair teams and aircraft support personnel to address overhaul challenges

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience in the overhaul and repair of military/commercial aircraft systems
  • Familiarity with parametric tool and fixture design methodologies
  • Experience in generating multi-level system drawings
  • Knowledge of hardware assembly and verification/validation processes
