About the Role
This position is pivotal in enhancing the efficiency of our production operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and executing ongoing enhancements to the manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Document existing production methodologies and establish company standards to boost the productivity and effectiveness of the production unit.
- Assess manufacturing operations by designing and implementing metrics to evaluate production performance concerning quality, throughput, and timely delivery.
- Analyze customer specifications to guide Quality, Sales, and plant teams.
- Collect, interpret, summarize, and present production and process data, insights, and trends to management.
- Estimate labor needs, production durations, and associated costs to inform operational decisions.
- Propel continuous improvement in labor expenses through waste minimization, production efficiency, and operational enhancements.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams regarding tooling longevity and design to ensure effective production methodologies.
- Aid in the investigation and resolution of rejected materials.
- Employ various lean six sigma problem-solving techniques to conduct thorough root cause analyses.
Qualifications
- Technical degree is mandatory.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field.
- Self-motivated individual with a desire to learn new processes and grow professionally.
- Proficient in drafting work instructions and conducting Root Cause Analysis.
- Metallurgical experience is advantageous.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive base salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000, dependent on experience.
- Eligibility for a 6% quarterly bonus.
- 3% 401(k) matching.
- Comprehensive benefits package through Aetna.
- Two weeks of paid time off along with nine paid company holidays.
