About the Role

The Endovascular Nurse Specialist plays a critical role in assisting physicians during extremity endovascular catheterizations, interventional procedures, fistula creations, bypasses, and other vascular procedures. This position requires a high level of skill and expertise in circulating and monitoring for procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
  • Assist physicians during extremity endovascular catheterizations, interventional procedures, fistula creations, bypasses, and other vascular procedures.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the physician.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training, one (1) of which must have been in an ICU, CCU, Cath Lab, Hybrid OR / EVOR, Interventional Radiology, or Operating Room procedural environment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire.
