Job Summary

CACS Head Start and Early Head Start is seeking a qualified Home Visitor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality services to families with young children, promoting their social, emotional, intellectual, language, and physical development.

The Home Visitor will work closely with families to understand their needs and strengths, and develop a plan to support their child's growth and development. This will involve conducting regular home visits, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with other staff members to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting families.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education or a related field, and experience working with families and young children. A minimum of one year of related experience is preferred.

The Home Visitor will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing a weekly written lesson plan and providing an organized program according to the identified curriculum.
  • Maintaining updated observations and anecdotal notes to document each child's progress.
  • Maintaining child records, lesson plans, and inventory of equipment and materials.
  • Developing an ongoing weekly individualization plan for each child based on needs and strengths identified through screening, assessment, and from the input from specialists and parents.
  • Providing direct and indirect referral services to families and recording information.
  • Assisting families as they identify their strengths and needs and help develop a plan to meet those needs (Family Partnership Plan).
  • Completing weekly home visits as assigned.
