Academic Development Manager II

We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Development Manager II to join our team at Ansys. As a key member of our academic development team, you will play a critical role in driving the growth and adoption of Ansys products in engineering education.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with educators and academic institutions to understand their educational needs and goals, and develop strategies to meet those needs.
- Work closely with our academic field and technical teams to develop and deliver training programs, workshops, and other educational materials that showcase the features and capabilities of our products.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of effective and innovative curriculum materials that align with current pedagogical practices and educational standards.
- Lead projects on product customization and enrichment for engineering education use cases, utilizing Python scripting and PyAnsys tools.
- Conduct and support feedback initiatives to gather insights on the use of Ansys education resources in the curriculum, and provide recommendations to the sales, marketing, and product development teams.
- Support marketing efforts, including technical presentations at events, to grow Ansys adoption in academia.
- Contribute to strategic academic projects and programs as needed, including infrastructure development, business operations, and strategic initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with current pedagogical practices, educational trends, and technology, and participate in relevant events and training to continue growing and improving as an academic content developer.
- Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 1+ years of experience.
- Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software, such as Ansys Mechanical, LS-Dyna, etc., or knowledge of other commercial software in Mechanical engineering.
- Proven experience or training project involving Python scripting and programming.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking English.
- Ability to work with a diverse and multicultural group of engineers and scientists, often located in different time zones.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time internationally.
- PhD related to Mechanical engineering in industry or academia.
- Experience in teaching or education-related projects at the higher education level, or as a lead of students' projects.
- Experience in writing educational materials or providing support in a lab, doing elements of research, and presenting work at conferences/seminars.
- Experience of being part of an engineering product development cycle.
