Responsibilities:- Conduct independent evaluations to assess students with speech or language disorders and conditions.
- Develop and implement individual and group therapy plans to address speech and language goals.
- Evaluate student progress and make recommendations for continued therapy services.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop strategies to improve communication skills.
- Provide professional development to school personnel on communication deficits and strategies for support.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
- Valid license as a Speech-Language Pathologist granted by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) or Bachelor's degree and valid Texas Education Agency speech therapy certificate.
- One year supervised clinical speech-language pathology experience.
This position requires regular districtwide travel to multiple work locations as assigned. Moderate lifting and carrying may be required. May be required to lift and transfer students to and from wheelchair or assist with positioning students with physical disabilities.
