About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Hibachi Chef to join our team at Stixonline. As a Hibachi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including soups, salads, and entrees, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare fresh ingredients, including vegetables, meats, and seafood, according to our prep list.
  • Grill Maintenance: Deep-clean Hibachi grills after each shift and keep hoods and filters clean and shining in the Hibachi dining room.
  • Inventory Management: Adjust pars according to the level of business to maintain fresh product and manage waste.
  • Sauce Preparation: Make Hibachi sauces according to our recipe. Label, store, and rotate product correctly.
  • Customer Service: Greet guests with enthusiasm and make them smile and laugh. Bring energy to every performance and treat customers with respect and good manners.
  • Performance: Execute spatula tricks, egg tricks, volcano onion, choo-choo train, and shrimp or chicken toss with each performance.
  • Teamwork: Engage customers in conversation and build relationships with them. Inject your own style and personality into every guest interaction.
  • Food Safety: Follow food safety procedures while cooking, and accommodate guests with food allergies and special modifications.
  • Cleanliness: Keep chef cart and utensils clean and sanitized. Help maintain restaurant cleanliness and follow food safety procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Hibachi Chef or in a similar role.
  • Skill: Excellent cooking skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of food safety procedures and ability to follow recipes and instructions.
