Role Summary:
Join us in shaping the future of nursing by becoming a Vocational Nursing Educator. We are looking for an individual to instruct in our Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) program, with no prior teaching experience necessary. Availability for part-time evening shifts and Saturday clinical sessions is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Continuously enhance instructional quality by exploring and applying innovative teaching methodologies.
  • Demonstrate or be willing to develop skills for integrating online activities to enrich course content during interactive learning sessions.
  • Assist in the evaluation and modification of course syllabi in accordance with program and instructional standards.
  • Timely submission of necessary program documentation to the Program Director.
  • Stay updated with advancements in technology and safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and skills assessments, while supporting program data collection to meet deadlines.
  • Help update and manage student files concerning clinical prerequisites, immunizations, and educational criteria.
  • Deliver courses at various times and locations based on program needs.
  • Instruct both theoretical lectures and practical clinical rotations, which may occur during weekdays, evenings, or weekends.
  • Engage in professional development activities to maintain Continuing Education hours for licensure renewal and stay informed about institutional updates.
  • Participate in assigned committees, balancing availability with teaching responsibilities.
Qualifications:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the applicable state.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent credentials as mandated by state regulations.
  • Ability to fulfill faculty requirements set forth by the Board of Vocational Nursing.
  • Experience demonstrating current nursing practice knowledge, mentoring capabilities in classroom, lab, and clinical environments, and proficiency in communication skills.
  • Current immunizations and Basic Life Support Certification are required.
