We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intensive Care Nurse to join our team at MDA Edge. As a Burn Unit Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care to individuals with severe burns.
Key Responsibilities- Triage and Stabilization: Assess and manage patients with severe burns, ensuring timely and effective treatment.
- Pain Management and Fluid Balance: Develop and implement individualized plans to manage patients' pain and fluid balance.
- Rehabilitation and Emotional Support: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive rehabilitation and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Clinical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines and best practices in burn care, and apply this knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, psychologists, and physical therapists, to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Minimum 2 Years ICU Experience: We require a minimum of 2 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit setting, with a preference for 5 years or more.
- Trauma, Burn, and Pediatric Trauma Experience: Previous experience in trauma, burn, and pediatric trauma care is highly desirable.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification: Current BLS certification is required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS): ACLS certification is also required.
- National Institutes of Health (NIH): Familiarity with NIH guidelines and protocols is an asset.
