Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at The Ritz-Carlton Bacara Santa Barbara. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical and electrical systems, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of equipment, and visual inspections of tools and machinery
  • Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed
  • Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved communication programs
  • Display knowledge and skills in areas such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry
  • Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, as well as external sprinkler systems
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting preferred
  • Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus
  • Driver's license required
