Job Summary:

Navy Times is seeking a skilled Visual Journalist to join our team. As a Visual Journalist, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality visual content that tells the story of the Navy and its personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cover a wide range of assignments, including news, features, and investigative stories
  • Shoot high-definition video and still images using ENG equipment
  • Edit video and audio using non-linear edit systems
  • Work closely with reporters and producers to develop story ideas and concepts
  • Conduct interviews and gather information from sources
  • Meet deadlines and work under tight time constraints

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in visual journalism or a related field
  • Strong technical skills in video and audio production
  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
