Logistics Professor with Supply Chain Expertise

Teach and Lead in Logistics at the University of Wisconsin-Stout

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Professor to join our faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. This tenure-track position will focus on teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Supply Chain Management, Business, and Operations Management.

About the Job

This is a full-time, 9-month appointment with opportunities for summer research grants. The successful candidate will teach a variety of courses, including those in logistics, supply chain management, and business operations. They will also be expected to develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and industry partners to enhance the curriculum and promote experiential learning.

About the Department

The Department of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Stout is one of eight departments within the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and Management. We deliver courses that serve 20 undergraduate majors, including bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Supply Chain Management. Our department has 12 full-time faculty members and typically offers 50 different courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Supply Chain Management, Business, and Operations Management
• Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and industry partners to enhance the curriculum and promote experiential learning
• Conduct research and publish in reputable academic journals
• Participate in departmental service activities, such as curriculum development and program assessment

Requirements

• Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Research, Industrial Technology, or closely related field by employment start date
• Five years of management/leadership experience spanning multiple areas of the supply chain
• Commitment to student success

Preferred Qualifications

• ABD or PhD in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Research, Industrial Technology, or closely related field
• Two years of combined teaching and/or industry training experience
• Professional certification with supply chain-related organizations
• Demonstrated experience in statistical and modeling tools
