Key Responsibilities

The RN Supervisor will support the Director of Nursing in delivering efficient and effective nursing care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and ensuring satisfaction for patients, families, and employees. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reporting directly to the Director of Nursing.
  • Leading and directing the clinical operations of nursing units during assigned shifts, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Facilitating the implementation of care delivery models and mentoring staff, while coordinating with other departments.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing staff for safe, 24/7 care, focusing on minimizing overtime and agency personnel usage.
  • Participating in staff recruitment, orientation, and making recommendations for promotions, transfers, and terminations.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State Board of Nursing.
  • A minimum of three years of full-time or equivalent clinical experience preferred.
  • At least two years of clinical experience in long-term care preferred.
  • One year of management, administrative, or supervisory experience preferred.
