Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Tax Accountant with expertise in Sales and Use Tax to join our growing technology firm. This position entails managing all facets of sales and use tax compliance, reporting, planning, and audits. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of tax legislation and regulations, ensuring the organization's compliance with all applicable requirements. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all sales and use tax functions, including compliance, reporting, planning, and audits.
  • Accurately prepare and file all sales and use tax returns in a timely manner.
  • Conduct research on tax regulations to ensure compliance and uncover tax-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the finance department on tax strategies that align with financial objectives.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax provision calculations.
  • Coordinate tax audits and mentor junior staff members.
  • Stay informed on changes in tax legislation and relay updates to relevant teams.
  • Support special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on sales and use tax.
  • Proficient in accounting software, such as Sage.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales and use tax regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Experience in the technology industry is advantageous.
