Job Summary

The Occupational Injury Examiner plays a critical role in managing and coordinating employee injury claims to facilitate return to work and partner with the Third Party Administrator (TPA) to bring the claim to a swift and cost-effective conclusion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and work daily on new occupational incidents and all existing claims to ensure timely and effective management.
  • Collaborate closely with the company's TPAs, employees, and management to coordinate return to work, medical care, payment activity, and ultimate claim resolution.
  • Document all work activity in the Risk Management Information System (RMIS) Risk Master to maintain accurate records.
  • Follow claim guidelines, including automatic and manual diaries for work product, to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Provide regular reports as required to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • A college degree is preferred, and the ability to take and follow instructions is essential.
  • Computer knowledge is required, and previous RMIS experience is a plus.
  • The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, task-driven, and able to work in a paperless environment with third-party software.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, customer service, and organization skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Prior claim experience and a current adjusting license are considered assets.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills, as well as a servant leader and team-oriented mindset.
