Job Summary

Pyrotek is a leading global industrial company with a strong commitment to environmental and safety excellence. We are seeking an experienced Environmental Safety Specialist to join our team in Sanborn, New York.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support plant leadership in the coordination, implementation, and sustainability of safety and environmental programs.
  • Inspect equipment, work areas, and procedures for compliance with established safety rules and regulations.
  • Identify potential safety hazards, record findings, and communicate/report to supervisor as needed.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gain an understanding of potential safety risks and participate in improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with incident reports, hazardous chemical and waste management, and emergency drill protocols.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Environmental Science, Technology, Engineering, or a related field, plus two years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply instructions, perform basic math, and take measurements using a tape measure and other tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to learn company-specific systems.
Working Conditions

Work in an office and manufacturing environment, with exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moderate noise, and moving mechanical parts. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
