Product Manager II, Payments

At Google, we're always looking for talented individuals to join our team. As a Product Manager II, Payments, you will play a key role in guiding products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You will work closely with engineering, marketing, legal, UX, and other teams to develop solutions to problems by collaborating as needed across regions, product areas, and functions.

Responsibilities:
  • Understand markets, competition, and user requirements in depth.
  • Launch new products and features, test their performance, and iterate quickly.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, marketing, legal, UX, and other teams on cutting-edge technologies.
  • Develop solutions to problems by collaborating as needed across regions, product areas, and functions.

About the Role:
As a Product Manager II, Payments, you will be responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users. You will work closely with the Payments team to create Google's billing and payment architecture, user interface, merchant applications, and consumer applications for everything related to accepting and providing payments. You will also be responsible for developing solutions to problems by collaborating as needed across regions, product areas, and functions.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
  • Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in a technology or business-related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
  • 3 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
  • 2 years of experience in software development or engineering.
  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience in the Fintech industry.
