Nutrition Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Professional to join our team at Primrose School. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving healthy, nutritious meals to our students.

• Maintain a Safe and Healthy Environment
  • Ensure that all food and food preparation areas are free from allergens and contaminants.
  • Implement and maintain proper food handling and storage procedures.
• Prepare and Serve Meals
  • Follow established menus and recipes to prepare healthy, nutritious meals.
  • Ensure that all meals are prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.
• Manage Food Inventory and Ordering
  • Order food and supplies as needed to maintain adequate inventory levels.
  • Monitor and control food costs to ensure that they are within budget.
• Maintain a Clean and Organized Kitchen
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment and utensils are clean and in good working order.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times.
• Collaborate with the Team
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure that all meals are prepared and served on time.
  • Communicate effectively with the team to ensure that all needs are met.

• Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. nutrition, culinary arts) or equivalent experience.
• Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
