Job SummaryThe Clinical Office Assistant is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing direct or indirect care to patients under the supervision of a physician. This role requires a strong foundation in medical assisting or nursing, with a focus on delivering compassionate and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide general patient care, including vital signs, medical histories, and medication administration
- Assist with medical procedures, such as injections, wound care, and EKGs
- Document patient information, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Current certification from a recognized medical assisting or nursing organization (e.g. AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, NAHP, AAH, AMCA)
- Active LPN or RN license (compact license preferred)
- CPR provider certification
