Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta Service Center. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the daily upkeep and maintenance of our facility, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the Business Operations Team as needed.

Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance:
  • Create and manage annual building and property maintenance and capital budgets.
  • Provide for the overall upkeep and maintenance of the Service Center, responding to maintenance needs and critical situations beyond those provided by outside vendors.
  • Perform minor repairs to structures, furniture, walls, and equipment as needed and within your skill set.
  • Maintain equipment and perform preventative maintenance programs as scheduled.
Customer Service:
  • Ensure readiness of the building for customers, including confirming room setup in advance and restocking copy room supplies.
  • Deliver packages and provide backup support to the Business Operations Team.
  • Respond to work orders related to staff comfort and assistance.
Security:
  • Provide for security and safety of the building to ensure a positive experience for customers and staff.
Janitorial:
  • Maintain cleanliness of public areas, including ensuring paper products are available in bathrooms and cleaning spills as needed.
Requirements
  • Good physical and mental health, with the ability to read, write, stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs.
  • Manual dexterity in both hands and the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • A positive attitude and flexibility.
  • A self-starter with the ability to make sound decisions and carry out a variety of tasks.
  • Awareness and responsibility for the safety and security of guests and fellow staff members.
