Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at Catholic Medical Center. As a key member of our unit-based care delivery team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the delivery of optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of direct patient care activities, including assisting with activities of daily living, ambulation, and transfers.
  • Utilize basic knowledge of growth and development to provide age-appropriate care for patients across the lifespan.
  • Assist registered nurses and licensed practical nurses with patient care activities and tasks as needed.
  • Report observations, symptoms, and changes in patient condition to registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.
  • Provide basic support to patients and families in response to identified psychosocial needs and cultural and religious preferences.
  • Participate in admitting patients, orienting them to their surroundings, and documenting in selected areas of the medical record.
  • Perform 12-lead electrocardiograms (EKGs) as directed and assist with patient transport as needed.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, maintain good communication, and establish positive working relationships with patients, families, and coworkers.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer keyboarding and data entry skills.
  • Current registration in the State of New Hampshire as a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA).
  • BLS certification.
