We are seeking a skilled Locksmith to join our team at Drexel University's Real Estate and Facilities department.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing the university's Residence Halls, possessing locksmith experience and bonding, and being proficient with plumbing, electrical, and maintenance skills to assist all areas of the halls.

Key Responsibilities

• General maintenance, repair, and installation of cylindrical and mortise locksets and door hardware components.
• Installs, repairs, and maintains all types of door and lock hardware.
• Repair locks, disassemble locks, and replace worn tumblers, springs, and other parts as needed.
• Assists managers in setting up and maintaining a key control system.
• Maintains records of keying schedules, key change, and key issuance.

Requirements

• Completion of Certification/apprenticeship training at Vocational or Technical School as a Locksmith.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• Proof of current or past locksmith bond policy and must be bondable.
• Possess a valid driver's license and be insurable for vehicle operation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman or Licensed Plumber/Electrician credentials.

Physical Requirements

Typically standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping, and lifting demands > 50lbs.

Additional Information

This position is classified as exempt, union position.

Compensation for this position is $31.99 as per the Union contract.
