Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating a progressive therapy program for our residents. This will include assessing their physical functions, psychological, social, and economic well-being, and developing a personalized plan to address their needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and evaluate residents' physical functions, psychological, social, and economic well-being
  • Develop and implement a personalized therapy plan to address residents' needs
  • Supervise certified therapy assistants and rehab assistants
  • Communicate with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure effective care
  • Document and maintain accurate records of residents' progress and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless care and transitions
  • Participate in facility meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current certification by the NBCOT and state of Florida
  • Fieldwork experience in geriatrics or hospital acute/sub-acute/rehab
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills
  • Ability to follow directions clearly and efficiently
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Products
