The Baptist Physicians Services, Inc. is actively seeking a dedicated and academically-inclined Surgical Oncologist to join our esteemed Division of Surgery. This full-time position requires a candidate with exceptional training and robust clinical expertise in various facets of complex surgical oncology, encompassing melanoma, retroperitoneal sarcoma, hepatic, pancreatic, biliary, and upper and lower gastrointestinal surgery, as well as endocrine and breast surgery, and advanced malignancies.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Focus clinically on all aspects of complex surgical oncology, without responsibilities for general surgery call or trauma.
  • Possess experience in both minimally invasive and traditional surgical techniques.
  • Hold or be eligible for an unrestricted medical license in Florida.
  • Be certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Surgery in Complex General Surgical Oncology (CGSO). We encourage exceptional candidates who may not meet the ABS/CGSO certification criteria but have a strong background in oncologic surgery to apply.
  • Exhibit a commitment to our integrated multidisciplinary cancer care model.
  • Support the clinical, scholarly, and educational objectives of our program, including enhancing quality metrics and contributing to scholarly endeavors.
  • Demonstrate the passion, communication, and interpersonal skills necessary to cultivate a thriving clinical practice and foster productive research.
  • Be recommended for an Adjunct appointment at a prestigious cancer center, reflecting clinical and academic accomplishments.
