Job Description

Ryder is seeking a dedicated solo Class B CDL driver to join our team in Hanover Township, PA. As a solo driver, you will be responsible for delivering freight to various locations in the region, including PA, RI, VA, NY, NJ, NH, ME, MD, MA, DE, DC, and CT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
  • Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Benefits:

  • $0.48 per mile with 1267 miles per week
  • $18.00 per stop with 49 stops per week
  • $60.00 per night with 3 nights per week
  • $150.00 per day for New York City deliveries
  • Sign-on bonus: $1000 at 30 days and $1000 at 90 days
  • Paid training

Requirements:

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A or Class B verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
