Position Overview
The CT Imaging Specialist is a graduate of an accredited AMA institution and holds registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). This role requires licensure by the state as a general radiographer, with the primary responsibility of delivering prompt diagnostic imaging services to both inpatients and outpatients under the supervision of a Radiologist and following departmental protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of radiographic procedures, including fluoroscopy, portable imaging, C-arm procedures, and operating room imaging services.
- Exhibit proficiency in standard diagnostic CT scanning techniques, encompassing CT imaging of the head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities, as well as biopsy and drainage procedures.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of CT system processing, surgical and sterile procedures, and studies involving contrast media, alongside a solid grasp of cross-sectional anatomy.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited AMA program.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
- Licensed as a general radiographer by the state.
- Demonstrated proficiency in routine diagnostic CT scanning techniques.
Work Schedule
- Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
- Hours: 7 AM to 7 PM.
Unit Specific Information
- The unit specializes in CT and X-ray services, utilizing all GE equipment.
- Responsible for delivering timely diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatient populations.
- Our facility is well-established, featuring well-maintained GE equipment, with a focus on cleanliness and efficient hand-offs.
Additional Insights
- Most patients are ambulatory, resulting in minimal lifting requirements, as critical patients are typically directed to the main facility.
- Collaborate with a competent emergency department staff and providers.
- Enjoy 24-hour phone access to the Imaging Manager and PACS Administrator for support with any issues, ensuring assistance is readily available.
