Job Summary:

PIMCO is seeking a talented Commercial Real Estate (CRE) associate to join its US PIMCO CRE Equity team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for asset management of CRE assets within various PIMCO investment vehicles.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist senior asset managers in developing and executing business plans, including extensions, refinancing, and dispositions.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all allocated business plans and manage complex investment and valuation models for various positions within the portfolio.
  • Prepare Investment Committee memos and presentations associated with the execution of business plans, including scenario analysis to support strategic decisions.
  • Provide leadership and support to junior team members to ensure consistently high-quality work, efficient execution, and knowledge transfer.
  • Prepare periodic valuations of individual CRE assets and compile portfolio roll-ups and performance metrics for both internal and external reporting.
  • Lead the junior team to foster a culture of excellence and develop a team mentality of proactive risk mitigation and focused value creation.
  • Assist senior asset managers in relationship management with operators, JV partners, service providers, as well as internal parties.

Estimated Salary Range: $125,000 - $145,000

Requirements:
  • 2-5 years of relevant real estate operator, investment banking, finance/accounting, or real estate private equity experience preferred.
  • Asset-level underwriting, valuation, asset management, or real estate sponsor-developer/accounting backgrounds preferred.
  • Experience across all asset classes, ideally including multifamily, industrial, student housing, retail, hotel, and office.
  • Strong financial modeling skills, proficiency in Argus, and writing abilities required.
  • Exceptional work ethic and integrity; candidate should be a team player who is proactive and a leader.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong academic credentials and demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously.

The total compensation approach includes a base salary and discretionary bonus. The base salary is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors.
