Job Details:

As a Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute medical surgical unit. The ideal candidate will have 1.5 years of experience in Med Surg/Tele and a strong background in neuro assessment skills. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized patient care to patients with moderate to high acuity levels.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Utilize strong communication skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Participate in unit-specific quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Schedule Information:

This is a night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts, every other weekend, and every other holiday. You will be required to float to other units as needed.

Unit Specific Information:

The Acute Medical Surgical unit is a 25-bed unit with a mix of private and semi-private rooms. The unit has a moderate to high acuity level with some tele-monitored patients. You will work closely with a team of experienced nurses and healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in Med Surg/Tele, a minimum of 1.5 years of experience, and a strong neuro assessment skill set. You will also need to be able to read and interpret telemetry independently. ONS certification is beneficial but not required.

Additional Details:

The OhioHealth Grant Medical Center uses the Epic EMR system, and Navy scrubs are required for this role.
