Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Public Area Attendant to join our team at Hotel Emma. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our public spaces, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain all public areas, including lobbies, hotel entrances, restaurants, lounges, library, fitness center, pool deck, restrooms, offices, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other work areas.
  • Assist guests with hotel and city information, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Deliver items to guest rooms and other areas of the hotel, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Replenish restroom supplies, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners and other equipment.
  • Dust furniture and equipment, ensuring a spotless and well-maintained environment.
  • Polish metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings, maintaining a high level of shine and cleanliness.
  • Wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork, ensuring a thorough and detailed cleaning.
  • Wash windows, door panels, and sills, maintaining a clear and unobstructed view.
  • Empties and washes wastebaskets, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Transport trash and waste to disposal areas, ensuring a safe and efficient process.
  • Abide by regulations set forth by material safety data sheets when using chemicals, prioritizing safety and well-being.
  • Report to work for scheduled shifts, on time and in uniform, in accordance with company policy.
  • Know and comply with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.
  • Take the initiative to greet guests and fellow associates in a friendly and warm manner, embodying the Hotel Emma culture.
  • Perform other related duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements
  • Effective communication in English with guests and co-workers, ensuring clear and concise communication.
  • Ability to present and conduct oneself professionally, emulating the Hotel Emma culture.
  • 3-5 years related housekeeping experience in a professional setting, demonstrating expertise and knowledge.
  • Flexible schedule required for the PM shift, including the ability to work weekends and holidays, ensuring adaptability and flexibility.
  • Ability to work onsite in the hotel's public areas, maintaining a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, ensuring physical stamina and endurance.

Prolonged standing, pushing, stretching, bending, and kneeling without restrictions, maintaining a high level of mobility and flexibility.

Schedule will reflect business demands, ensuring adaptability and flexibility.

Long and unusual hours on occasion, requiring a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
