Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Technician to join our team at American Axle & Manufacturing. As a Quality Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and maintaining our high standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular part inspections on the floor and in the laboratories to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Utilize various gages and measurement techniques to verify dimensions of production parts.
  • Operate computerized gauging in quality labs to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Inspect and dispose of gages as needed.
  • Coordinate sort activities to ensure efficient and effective quality control processes.
  • Complete weekly LPAs to identify and address any quality issues.
  • Manage NCM inventory and organization to ensure seamless quality control processes.
  • Meet time and schedule standards assigned for work to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Identify and record any problems relating to product, process, and quality system.
  • Provide input on improving operation efficiencies to enhance overall quality and productivity.
  • Control further processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency has been corrected.
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Operate machines in accordance with process sheets and any other required paperwork.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in quality preferred and/or 3-5 years in the manufacturing field.
