Job Summary

The Banquet Bartender is a key member of our team, responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests during banquets and events. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Delivery
    • Provide prompt and courteous service to all banquet guests, including taking orders, suggestive selling, and preparing and serving beverages.
    • Ensure that all guests have a positive experience and that their needs are met.
  • Event Preparation
    • Reconcile transactions at the end of each shift, cash out, and maintain a balanced bank.
    • Be thoroughly familiar with all menu cocktails and wine list in order to assist guests and answer questions accurately.
    • Complete bar requisitions and ensure that the event bar area is clean and in order at all times.
  • Guest Interaction
    • Greet guests, take beverage orders, and suggestive sell.
    • Prepare drinks to recipes and serve beverages, including coffee, tea, cocktails, and wine.
    • Ensure guest satisfaction at all events and accommodate guests' special requests whenever possible.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Maintain positive and professional communication with all staff, including co-workers, supervisors, managers, and directors.
    • Participate in meetings to learn about global programs, new products and procedures, and to discuss areas of opportunities, special events, and other activities.
    • Work as a team, helping all employees to complete the required activities that ensure we deliver exceptional service.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Perform last call and clean bar tops, sinks, speed rails, ice bins, guns and lines, bottles, cabinets, and coolers.
    • Maintain bank variance within standard and set up and empty trash and recycling.
    • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary school degree preferred and/or previous work experience in service for at least 2 years.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Ability to comprehend and use basic language, either written or spoken, to communicate information and ideas.
    • Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
    • Ability to perform numerical operations using basic counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying or dividing.
    • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Additional Requirements
    • Deep understanding of lifestyle casino/hotels and premium dining products and services.
    • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Knowledge and Abilities
  • Casino Food & Beverage Experience
    • Casino Food & Beverage experience preferred.
  • Table Service Procedures
    • Table service procedures and table etiquette.
  • Licenses and Certifications
    • Must have valid Food Handlers Card, Liquor License, and IGC Badge when working.
