Job Overview

Position: Production Operations I (Direct)-Contingent Worker

Location: Las Vegas, NV

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety protocols, ensuring compliance with established policies and regulations.
  • Assist in the manufacturing and remanufacturing processes of UX Traction Motor Combo components.
  • Operate both manual and automated production machinery, employing various hydraulic and pneumatic tools to fulfill responsibilities in line with internal manufacturing and quality standards.
  • Conduct inspections of work components against internal quality criteria, utilizing precision measuring instruments and testing methods.
  • Dismantle machinery to extract parts for repair and reassemble equipment post-inspection or maintenance.
  • Document each step of the process, ensuring accurate sign-off on relevant documentation.
  • Process components in accordance with internal processing guidelines while maintaining acceptable defect rates.
  • Safely operate fork trucks and overhead cranes, adhering to OSHA regulations.
  • Support the training of fellow employees on both new and existing operational procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team to achieve production objectives.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of processes aimed at improving product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Repair and replace defective or malfunctioning machinery components.
  • Continuously work towards improving the 5S methodology within the work cell through ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisory personnel.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting.
Preferred Attributes:
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent technical certification.
  • Experience with analytical testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with EHS policies and procedures.
  • Capability to lift and manage tools and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficient in the safe use of manual equipment and hand tools.
  • Knowledge of inspection measurement tools.
  • Understanding of manufacturing and quality protocols in a lean environment.
  • Prior experience operating fork trucks and overhead cranes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
