RN Labor and Delivery Part Time Nights

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Staff Nurse to join our team at MLK Community Healthcare. This is a part-time position working nights, providing exceptional patient care in the labor and delivery department.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process as a problem-solving model to anticipate and plan for patient needs.
- Conduct focused nursing assessments to target high-yield areas for each patient population or situation.
- Recognize subtle changes in clinical situations, evaluate, and adjust plans accordingly.
- Prioritize and organize patient care, ensuring follow-through with planned interventions.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care for patients served on the assigned unit.
- Apply current literature and research findings to make sound clinical decisions.
- Develop and maintain therapeutic nurse-patient relationships throughout the healthcare continuum.
- Communicate effectively using SBAR in all hand-off situations.
- Perform documentation of patient care, including assessment, interdisciplinary plan of care, implementation, evaluation, and Watson Model of Care.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred; Associate's degree required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in LDRP nursing; California RN license; Certification in Maternal Child Health Nursing preferred.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred; basic computer skills; current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications; Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (AWHONN or NCC); Managing Aggressive Behavior training within 90 days.
The estimated salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
