We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Environmental Services Technician to join our team at Presbyterian Healthcare Services. As a key member of our environmental services team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and employees.
Responsibilities- Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Dust and clean furniture, woodwork, equipment, and fixtures in all areas as needed.
- Operate housekeeping mechanical equipment and move furniture as required for cleaning procedures.
- Buff, strip, wax, and polish floors to maintain a high level of cleanliness and shine.
- Remove waste and soiled linens from work areas according to proper procedure.
- Perform cleaning procedures of patient rooms and prepare rooms for next occupants, following isolation procedures in isolation rooms.
- Participate in educational programs and in-service meetings to stay up-to-date on best practices and procedures.
- Less than high school education or equivalent.
- Less than one year of experience in housekeeping or a related field.
