About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hotel Chief Engineer to join our dynamic team at Gecko Hospitality. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of all mechanical and electrical systems within our premier hospitality establishment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, fire safety, and general maintenance.
  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Lead and mentor the engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and manage the engineering department's budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for engineering-related emergencies, providing prompt and effective solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years in hotel engineering or similar roles, with at least 3 years in a senior position.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in HVAC, electrical systems, or facilities management preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of building management systems (BMS) and other industry-specific software.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.

Salary

$90K - $100K + Bonus and Relocation Assistance
