Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Highmark Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Prepare patients for exams, take vital signs, and document patient information.
  • Perform back office testing, including phlebotomy and EKGs, according to established protocols.
  • Administer medications and accurately document patient records.
  • Provide follow-up care to patients, including notification of test results and scheduling of appointments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized exam room, ensuring adequate inventory of medical supplies.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient office operations.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • CPR certification and completion of a Medical Assistant program or 1 year of experience in a direct patient care role.
  • Must obtain certification within 120 days of hire, if not already certified.
